My instrument practice routine

As a beginner music producer, I always intended to become at least a decent guitar and piano player. There’s just something about an authentic recording that can’t be replicated by virtual instruments. So I’ve been practicing on my instruments almost daily for a couple years now, and I recently started sharing some of that on my Instagram.

My practice routine involves playing half an hour a day. Usually I play along to some songs and improvise over longform backing tracks. Through my guitar lessons last year, I’ve learned a great deal about playing techniques and I’m continuing the learning process by myself. YouTube tutorials are a great way to learn new songs and to keep practice fresh and fun.

Below you can watch the covers that I’ve shared so far. Hopefully you can notice the progress! For future practice videos, follow me on Instagram 😉

Linkin Park – “Papercut”

Royal Blood – “I Only Lie When I Love You”

Keane – “Somewhere Only We Know”

Keane – “We Might As Well Be Strangers”

Queen – “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Green Day – “Jesus of Suburbia”
