What an exciting surprise! Dutch music organization Pop In Limburg has nominated my Crimethinkers song “Drifting (feat. Rosie)” for a Limburg Pop Award in their category ‘Song of the Year’.
Multiple songs by local artists have been nominated and will compete for a development budget of €1,000. The song with the highest number of votes wins! The winner will be announced at a special live event on 8 December in Maastricht.

About “Drifting“
“Drifting” was conceived shortly after the release of our 2022 debut effort “Time to Rise EP“. At the time, we were working on multiple Crimethinkers and solo projects when we accidentally lost sight of this track in the process. In a synchronistic way, the song had drifted away from our attention.
Earlier this year, we rediscovered the “Drifting” demo and our enthusiasm for the project immediately reignited. With the recording of a new rap verse, the additional layers of chorus vocals and various tweaks made to the mix, we finally completed the song.
“Drifting” is our first release to feature guest vocals. UK-based singer-songwriter Rosie, whom we met on SoundCloud, embellishes the track with a gentle yet powerful performance. By inviting another artist on the song, we’re pushing the boundaries of our sound and expanding the world of Crimethinkers.
